If the body plastic part is used as the skin of the metal substrate, the quality of the appearance can only be guaranteed when the thermal expansion coefficient of the substrate and the surface layer are close. Generally, the coefficient of thermal expansion of thermoplastics is much larger than that of steel. Fillers are generally added to reduce the coefficient of thermal expansion. However, the addition of fillers tends to always reduce the surface quality. Fiber-reinforced thermosetting plastics can mostly meet the requirements of car body structural parts in terms of strength and rigidity, but its surface quality is often difficult to meet the A-level requirements.
